Dad Delivers Couple's Baby In Back Of Their Car

 

Standstill A34 traffic forced a first-time mum to give birth in the back of her car as her husband delivered their baby - less than a mile from the hospital. Newborn baby Henry Fowler had a dramatic welcome to the world as he surprised first-time parents Thom and Jenny on Friday 19 October.

Milton Management Reshuffle - 12 October

A busy week for Uhlsport Hellenic League Milton United has resulted in changes to the First Team Management set up.

 

On Monday the Chairman Andy Burchette received and accepted the resignation from First Team Coach Paul Berry. First Team Manager Tim Davies has decided to step aside from first team duties and take a new role of as Director of Football within the club

 

On Friday Daniel Elvestad (pictured) has been appointed the Milton United First Team Manager.

Steventon & District Royal British Legion would like to invite you to a commemoration for the 100th Anniversary of the ending of WW1 in music, poetry and readings with the theme of Peace, to be held on Saturday 10 November at 12.30pm.
The commemoration is being held at Holy Trinity, Woodgreen, Witney. Tickets are £10 and include a light lunch.

the WIThe WI is a great place to meet people and learn new things too, but it is so much more. The very first WI was formed in 1897, in Ontario, Canada. Anglesey in Wales was Great Britain’s first in 1915. Did you know the WI was involved in the Keep Britain Tidy campaign? Plastic Soup and Alleviating Loneliness are just two of our current campaigns. Come join us and help to make a difference.

A big thank you to every-one who gave up an hour of their time on Saturday 08 September to welcome walkers and cyclists to St Blaise for Ride and Stride. It was lovely that there was someone in the Church from 10.00am to 6.00pm.

Milton Hill Bowling Club

As predicted, our final position in the Ashley-Baker League was sixth out of ten which is about par and no mean feat considering the size of some of the opposition clubs.

 

As clubs with grass greens close down for the season those players wishing to continue playing full-size outdoor bowls are more than welcome to come and join in on our carpet.
