Standstill A34 traffic forced a first-time mum to give birth in the back of her car as her husband delivered their baby - less than a mile from the hospital. Newborn baby Henry Fowler had a dramatic welcome to the world as he surprised first-time parents Thom and Jenny on Friday 19 October.

the WIMilton Book Group meets about once a month and we are always open to new members. Our next meeting will take place in The Plum Pudding at 8.00pm on Tuesday 27 November. We will be discussing "The Heart’s Invisible Furies" by John Boyne - everyone is welcome to come along and don't worry if you've not had a chance to read the book, it's not compulsory!
