Saint Blaise Primary School

Local Group Activities

Tea, cake and chat afternoons in Milton Community Space. Twice each month we have a tea, cake and chat afternoon from 2.30pm to 4.00pm in Milton Community Space in St Blaise Church.

 

Milton Book Group meets about once a month and we are always open to new members. We meet at either The Plum Pudding or a member's home at 8.00pm, usually on a Tuesday.

Christmas Tree Recycling

The Vale of White Horse and Biffa will be collecting your used real Christmas trees. You can leave your tree at Burial Ground Car Park, Milton, High Street on Wednesday 10th January 2018. The trees will then be collected on Thursday 11th January. (Trees left after this date will not be accepted)

 

If your tree is extra large please cut it down to enable collection.

Milton Bell Ringers Are Recruiting

Do you enjoy hearing the church bells ringing? Why not come along and find out how it is done?

 

Milton has a very fine modern peal of eight bells and we have a regular practice on a Tuesday evening at 7.45pm, though we could start earlier if there are children who would like to learn to ring.

As the impact of more and more cars and HGVs on our roads, air quality began to be felt and concern spread way beyond the traditional centres of industrial smog.

The 100 Club has completed its first year and would be delighted if those who joined in November 16 would like to renew your subscription. This is also the perfect time to buy a gift subscription for family or friends - the ideal stocking filler!

100 CLUB “Draw One Winners”

The eleventh draw of the 100 Club took place today. There are currently 68 members, so the total prize fund this month is £68 which has been split as follows:

2nd (no 7) - Lesley Duff - £20.40
3rd (no 6) - Jack Bartlett - £13.60


Cheques will be delivered to the winners shortly!

We are still open to new members (their subscription will run for a full year, so up to and including the November 2018 draw) – please do encourage neighbours, friends and family to sign up as this will increase our prize fund – and also the amount we raise for the St Blaise Community Space Project!

Next month’s draw will take place on Sunday 17th December – good luck!

Children's Christmas Party @ St Blaise

Saturday 16th December - 11am to 2pm
  • Loads of fun Christmas games and activities, party lunch and a visit from Father Christmas!
  • Tickets £5 per child - suitable for ages 3-10: younger and older children are welcome but activities may not be suitable - no charge for children aged under 12 months who are accompanying an older sibling! We ask that an adult stays with children aged 5 and below - adults are welcome to stay with older children but may just drop-off if they prefer.
    Kids lunch provided - mince pies & mulled wine for adults: please let us know of any dietary requirements so that we can ensure these have been catered for.
    Supply your own Santa gift - or £3 extra for us to provide: if you are supplying your own gift please make sure it is wrapped and labelled with your child's (full!) name; if we are supplying the gift, your child will be given an age-appropriate book

Ladies Darts
