Parents and Toddlers Group

The Parents and Toddlers Group has been temporarily suspended as the numbers have dropped because the current group, who started when they were crawling, have now moved on. It has been a lot of fun. There are lots of toys, some stimulating, some just for play but the St Blaise Community Space has also been very imaginatively used by the toddlers.

It is free, babies are welcome (as well as grandparents). The group meet on Monday afternoons from 2.00pm-4.00pm although the timing is flexible depending on demand ie nap times. If you would like to give this a try please e-mail me: anne.brownson@btinternet.com

The Milton Book Group

the WIMilton Book Group meets about once a month and we are always open to new members. We meet at either The Plum Pudding or a member's home at 8pm, usually on a Tuesday. If you're interested in joining or you would like more information about the group contact Rebecca Thomas - 01235 833731,  07717 693724 or becca.ebdon@gmail.com

The group reads a wide range of both fiction and non-fiction - recent past reads include  "The Yorkshire Shepherdess" (Amanda Owen), "Do No Harm" (Henry Marsh), "The Impossible Lives of Greta Wells" (Andrew Sean Greer) and "Gaudy Night" (Dorothy L. Sayers).

Milton Matters - Delivery Person Vacancy

Milton Matters is a thoroughly worthwhile local publication and is much valued in our community. Each month Milton Matters is hand-delivered to every household in the Parish by an intrepid band of volunteers. A vacancy has now arisen for deliveries to Midwinter Avenue. The Milton Matters production team would love to hear from anyone (or indeed 2 people sharing) who might consider taking over this delivery round?

Milton Parish Council

The Parish Council are working with Milton United Football Club and others towards the new Community Building. However, this is not just a sporting facility and we would like to hear from any club or group who may wish to use the building in future.

We Cannot Accept Any More Housing Without More Infrastructure

Many of us have been arguing for some time now that we cannot accept any more housing without more infrastructure – roads, schools, hospitals and so on. You may see figures above £5billion for the estimated cost of bringing our infrastructure into line with our present housing growth.
